I am the CTO and a Co-Founder of Sidelines, a startup focused on sports. Prior to that, I worked for five years at Microsoft building distributed storage systems for Windows Live Hotmail. I graduated with a BSc in Computer Science (Course 6) from MIT in 2006 and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area shortly after that. I also lived for 2 years in Vancouver, BC while working at Microsoft.
My interests have always mostly been around distributed systems, although lately, due to the nature of our work at Sidelines I’m becoming more and more interested in natural language processing as well as machine learning and topic modelling.
Outside work, I thoroughly enjoy cooking and snowboarding. I started snowboarding while in college and really got into it while living in Vancouver. My favorite Tahoe mountain is Squaw and my favorite protein is pork (relevant).
